LAUSANNE – CYSEC SA, the Swiss cybersecurity company which specializes in Confidential Computing, announces today that Patrick Nicolet is joining the company as a member of its Board of Directors and investor.
Patrick Nicolet has launched the Swiss-based venture company Line Break Capital on January 1st, 2021. At Capgemini, he last held the positions of Group Executive Board Member and Chief Technology Officer, where he was notably responsible for the Group’s cybersecurity. Patrick Nicolet’s large fields of expertise include strategy definition and implementation, information technology and digital business transformation.
Thanks to his extensive knowledge of digital business and transformation, his recognized analytical mindset and his vision for the evolution of the IT technology landscape, Patrick will provide valuable insights and expertise to shape and foster CYSEC’s growth. His goal is to create a strong ecosystem around CYSEC, and support the company’s ambition to position itself as a leader in the field of Confidential Computing.
Patrick’s appointment completes CYSEC’s Board as it prepares to become the European leader in Confidential Computing. He is persuaded that the future of IT architecture is distributed and decentralized, which is why he’s confident that CYSEC’s solution in terms of Confidential Computing represents a pioneering technology for the protection of sensitive data. The Start-up is based at the EPFL Innovation Park in Lausanne.

About Patrick Nicolet
Patrick graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Lausanne in 1984. He was honored in 1993 as Global Leader for Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum.
Patrick began his career as the General Manager of the first Swiss private-public partnership company to develop an incubator, technology transfer services and a science park, the Y-parc in Yverdon-les-bains (CH). He then worked as an independent turnaround manager for several European industrial Corporations. Afterwards, he became a partner at the Corporate Recovery Practice of Ernst & Young Consulting, Switzerland.
He joined Capgemini in 2000 and held significant roles delivering business development/business transformation as the Sales Director for Capgemini’s Telecom & Media business and subsequently, as the Group Sales Director. Patrick was appointed CEO of Nordic and Central Europe Application Services in 2009.
From 2011 to 2015, Patrick was the CEO of Infrastructure Services and Executive leader for supervising Capgemini’s operations in Latin America. In 2018, Patrick was appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Capgemini, in charge of the technology and innovation agenda for the Group.
